this is awesome & informative! reblogging this & hoping it helps some of you who are looking into your options re: birth control right now. i think that the iud is a great option for many people!
the pain when they put it in was worse for me than they described in this comic, and after a year and a half with my iud i started having horrible pms symptoms, the worst migraines i have EVER had in my life & it stopped helping with cramps & balancing my hormone levels at all. just want to remind everyone that of course it is rad to encourage exploration & education of all our awesome birth control options (& i think the iud is a really great one) but to remember that they do not work the same way for everyone & it is important to listen to your own body. talk to your doctors & find what works for you :)
